Gwyneth Paltrow seems to be craving a change in scenery lately. The tastemaker sold her luxurious New York City townhouse on Harrison Street for a reported $13.6 millionВ in 2009 before moving into her airy Washington Street abode, which is now in contract. Although that spot is no longer available, the Harrison Street townhouseВ is now up for grabs-all five stories of it, reports Elle Decor

The spacious industrial-style spot has quite the history-which can be traced back to long beforeВ Paltrow's residency. It was built in 1887 as a loft for a liquor merchant's business and later served as a manufacturing spot for the Henry Heide Candy Company (the purveyors of JujubesВ and gummy bears).

Now, the ex-candy factory boasts almost 12,000 square feet-enormous by New York City standards-with most of its original details like wood-detailed shop windows and cast-iron columns still intact, according to the listing. It's also home to seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, three wood-burning fireplaces, andВ three laundry rooms. We could go on and on but just click through the slideshow below to see for yourself.
